Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how MA Accrual (the “App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, stores, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our mobile application available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

MA Accrual is a business-to-business (B2B) mobile application developed and operated by Metayb Private Limited (“Metayb”, “Company”, or “Developer”). The App is intended exclusively for authorized representatives of business entities acting in a professional capacity.

By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and consented to the collection, use, storage, and disclosure of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, “Company”, “we”, or “us” refers to Metayb Private Limited; “App” refers to the MA Accrual mobile application; “User” or “you” means an authorized business user accessing the App; “Personal Data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual; “Usage Data” means data collected automatically through use of the App; “Device” means any mobile device used to access the App; and “Cookies” or “Tracking Technologies” refer to technologies used for functional and analytical purposes.

2. Data Minimization and Use Principles

MA Accrual collects and processes only such information as is necessary to operate the App and provide enterprise trade-promotion management services. We do not sell personal data, engage in targeted or behavioral advertising, track users across other applications or websites, or create user profiles that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

All data collection and processing activities are limited, proportionate, and conducted in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the requirements of the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

3. Information We Collect

We collect limited information required to operate the App effectively in a professional B2B context. This includes personal information provided by users in their business capacity, such as name, business email address, the customer or company they are associated with, role or designation (for example, Key Account Manager or Administrator), and assigned organizational permissions. Where Microsoft single sign-on (SSO) is used, we receive your business email address and basic profile information from your organization’s Microsoft account directory solely to authenticate you.

In connection with promotion submission and approval workflows, the App collects business data entered by authorized users, including the customer, channel, buying group, applicable regions, promotion period dates, promotion type, expected units, rate and estimated cost, remarks, the Key Account Manager’s name, the adopted electronic signature (a stylized rendering of the typed name selected by the user), and the date and time at which the promotion was signed. Such data is collected strictly to enable submission, approval, validation, reporting, and record-keeping of trade promotions.

The App also automatically collects certain technical and usage information, including device type, operating system, app version, IP address, permitted device identifiers, crash logs, performance diagnostics, screens viewed, features accessed, interaction logs, and dates and times of access.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The App may use cookies or similar tracking technologies solely for essential purposes such as enabling core functionality, maintaining security, monitoring performance, and conducting aggregated analytics. These technologies are not used for advertising, cross-app tracking, fingerprinting, or profiling and do not allow identification of users across third-party applications or services.

5. Cookie Management

Users may manage or delete cookies and similar technologies through their device or operating system settings, by clearing the App’s cache or stored data, or by uninstalling the App. Disabling or deleting cookies may affect certain features or functionality of the App.

6. Purpose of Data Processing

We use the information collected to provide, operate, and maintain the MA Accrual App, authenticate users (including through Microsoft single sign-on), manage role-based access, create, submit, and track trade promotions, capture approvals and electronic signatures, generate PDF reports and analytical dashboards, improve performance and reliability, respond to support requests, prevent fraud or misuse, and comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations. Personal data is processed only to the extent necessary to fulfill these legitimate business purposes.

7. Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable, personal data is processed on lawful grounds such as performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, the Company’s legitimate business interests, or user consent. Where consent is required by law, it is obtained in a clear and transparent manner and may be withdrawn at any time, subject to lawful limitations.

8. User Consent

By accessing or using the App, users provide consent to the collection and processing of their information as described in this Privacy Policy where required under applicable law. Users may withdraw their consent at any time by contacting us or adjusting device or account settings, although withdrawal of consent may restrict access to certain App features.

9. App Permissions

The App may request access to certain device permissions strictly where required to deliver core enterprise functionality. This includes storage access, used to save, download, and share generated promotion PDF reports, and secure local storage (which may use device biometrics) to keep your login session secure on the device. The App also requires network access to communicate with our servers. MA Accrual does not request or use camera, location (GPS), or microphone permissions. Permissions are requested at runtime and may be revoked at any time through device settings.

10. Advertising and Remarketing

MA Accrual does not display third-party advertisements, engage in remarketing or retargeting, or share personal data for advertising or behavioral profiling purposes. If such practices are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated, and user consent will be obtained where required by law.

11. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent personal data. Information may be shared only with trusted service providers who assist with hosting and infrastructure management (Microsoft Azure), database services, analytics, security monitoring, or crash reporting, strictly to the extent necessary to operate and support the App. Where Microsoft single sign-on is used, authentication is processed through Microsoft. Promotion and approval data is accessible only to authorized organizational users based on role-based access controls. Data may also be disclosed where required by law, regulatory authorities, or platform providers such as Google or Apple for compliance purposes.

12. International Data Transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside India or the user’s jurisdiction, including through cloud hosting, appropriate safeguards are implemented in accordance with applicable laws, including GDPR-compliant contractual protections where required.

13. Data Retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal or regulatory requirements, or until a valid deletion request is received, subject to lawful retention obligations.

14. User Rights

Depending on applicable laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, the Nigeria Data Protection Act, and other applicable African data protection frameworks, users may have rights to access, correct, update, delete, restrict processing of their personal data, withdraw consent, request data portability, or raise grievances. 15. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal data. However, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

16. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended solely for business users and is not designed for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

17. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such third-party platforms.

18. Purpose and Functional Scope of the App

MA Accrual is an enterprise-grade mobile application designed to enable organizations to create, submit, approve, and track trade promotions and related accruals in a structured, transparent, and accountable manner. The App allows authorized users to capture promotion details, record Key Account Manager approval through an electronic signature with an automatic timestamp, and generate PDF reports. Collected data is securely transmitted to centralized dashboards to support monitoring, validation, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.

19. Authorized Users and Role-Based Access

Access to the App is restricted to authorized business users acting in a professional capacity, including Key Account Managers and Administrators. Role-based access controls ensure that users can only view or perform actions permitted by their designation.

20. Sponsorship Disclosure

MA Accrual is sponsored by Metayb Private Limited, and all data processing activities are carried out solely within the scope of the App’s functionality and this Privacy Policy.

21. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App or on our official website and will become effective upon publication.
